Do you have a wall screaming out for some new decor or something different to liven it up?
Then check out these FIVE clever ideas!
Whether you’re seeking wall gallery ideas or perhaps something, well... up the wall, then these tips should give some great food for thought.
More and more people are pushing the boundaries with innovative wall designs and we’ve rounded up some of the more popular options being used today.
So whether you’ve just moved into a new place or looking to redecorate a living room, hallway, or even a bathroom, here’s some great ways to add visual interest to what would be otherwise just another wall.
A wall with plates Do you have any plates that have run their dinner course and need chucking it? Well they still have their uses. Why not paint them different colours or different patterns and spread them out across your wall. They don’t even have to be the size. Different ones with patterns and textures can be used for a fun cool look.
A wall with hats and baskets Using the same theme with the plates, why not round up some old hats or baskets - or why not even both - and place them on the wall for all to see? That will certainly give your wall a real quirky feel as well as a striking display.
A wall with books Is your bookshelf overspilling with extra copies of books by Stephen King and Catherine Cookson or Jamie Oliver’s ‘Cooking in the Nude’? If the answer is yes then do not despair. Why not collect them and transform them into works of art by arranging them faced outwards. You can also use them for a classic bookcase wall.
A wall with photos and drawings This striking and eclectic display requires hardly any effort so you can safely put back the hammer and nails. Simply arrange with photos or drawings (even kids drawings can be a wonderful theme) by leaning them against the wall perhaps on a shelf or you can arrange them as a display.
A wall with the outdoors How about a nice green look to your wall? Add some shelves and bring in some of your garden pots or plants inside to really give your wall that wow factor. Adding plants of different heights to a room can really bring it to life but don’t forget to try and use plants with lovely bright colours.
