4 bed Terraced
Prospect Terrace, , Ramsgate, Kent
This superb period property with its origins in the Georgian era has probably the best views in Ramsgate. Set high on the hill overlooking the marina and the harbour the panoramic vista from some of the rooms and particularly the top floor roof terrace is fantastic. It means you can see across the roof tops and the harbour towards Dumpton Gap on one side as well as Pegwell Bay to Deal on the other and on a clear evening you can even see the twinkling lights of Calais and Cap Gris Nez in the distance over the Channel. From the moment you first set eyes on the stunning Arts and Crafts exterior with its curved wood arches supporting the beautiful first floor balcony, wall tiles and the Italianate Terrazo marble paved front courtyard surrounded by newly installed wrought iron railings and flower borders, you will be excited to see beyond the oak front door. What the Owner says:
"I bought this attractive marine residence in 2009 as I loved the view and being near the sea, however I feel it is time to start a new chapter in my life so I hope the next family will enjoy everything I have done to enhance the property over the years. Since I first moved here I have worked hard to bring the house back to its former glory. The front area was in danger of collapsing so I had the whole front balcony and wood framing taken off and replaced with exactly the same design and I even had the tiles on the first floor balcony specially made to go with the decor. I had new wrought iron railings installed and the Italian marble at the front of the house took ages to renovate as I had to find a specialist from London to undertake the work. However, although I had tried to sensitively restore the house to what it was originally, I have not forgotten that modern day owners have some additional requirements and I have installed a Hive heating system so you can control your heating from anywhere in the world and there is a Cat 5 cable wireless and wired internet connection available in many of the rooms.
For anyone who enjoys a meal out there are some excellent restaurants within a minute's walk while Waitrose and the town centre are not far away. For the 'cafe society' there are numerous bars, cafes and restaurants along Harbour Parade and if you have young children the long sandy beach is within easy reach."
