You will own a slice of Faversham's history when you buy this wonderful Tudor property. The original house is believed to date back to the late 1400's and was re-fronted in the 18th century. This particular property has been sympathetically extended in recent times which has helped to create, what can only be described, as exceptional, highly deceptive living space. There is a wealth of original features to be found including some charming vaulted beamed ceilings, fireplaces and a large double cellar which is ideal for storage but could lend itself to alternative uses subject to obtaining relevant consents. The stunning main bedroom with its delightful vaulted beamed ceiling has an unusual galleried section. The architecturally designed extension cleverly incorporates a lovely central courtyard where you can sit and enjoy a leisurely breakfast or afternoon tea. There is a fabulous garden room area that leads onto a lovely, well planted, walled garden that enjoys high levels of privacy which then leads to a gravel driveway providing parking for 2 vehicles.. West Street is centrally located with access to all the main town's amenities allowing you to enjoy any number of leisure pursuits, shopping or dining out without the need to use the car. It is to be noted that the seller of this property is a person connected with Ward & Partners as defined in the Estate Agents Act 1979. What the Owner says:
We viewed other Tudor houses, however, none were as light and airy as this one. It offered us so much space and lots of period character too. We also wanted a south facing garden and when we walked down the lawn, through the arch and saw the gravel driveway too, we knew this was the home for us. It is so easy to commute to London for work from here. Faversham is a wonderful market town with great independent shops and tea rooms. There is so much history and many local events such as specialist markets and regular antique fairs. We would certainly recommend living here.
