Two Private Parking Spaces

The Vendor's View

The location, outward appearance and the fact that the property had two parking spaces were the factors that initially drew me to it. I bought the house as a holiday home and investment and have spent some time remodelling and updating it. In the past I have rented it out as a holiday let, but it is a very versatile property and also makes a great family home. I converted the loft and that s probably my favourite room. I have used this space as an office and playroom. It took me three months to clean the beams, which had sat untouched for about 150 years, so it was a really messy job. It s now a really nice relaxing space to spend time in.The town is a 5 minute walk from the house, a perfect distance to be close but not in the thick of it. Deal has lots of independent shops and nice pubs, and the station is just ten minutes walk away, which is useful when you need to travel up to London. Lots of people commute on the high speed train in the morning and evening, which takes about 90 minutes. You can also use the train for an evening in London as the last train leaves for Deal after 11pm. There s always quite a lot happening in Deal and plenty to get involved in.I love living by the sea, the house is only a couple of minutes walk from the beach and there is a great sea view from the living room and the two top bedrooms. For me, this is a real highlight of this property. This house has allowed me to have some truly amazing memories in the decade that I have lived here. I will always remember having friends and their families to stay, with their children enjoying the playroom while the adults relaxed with a glass of wine.
