The Vendor's View

When nuns sold the plots of land at the North end of the estate, we were the first people to purchase a plot in North Foreland Avenue, and this was the first house built in this corner. We lived here for about two years before we had a neighbour! We were drawn to the location because we wanted to create our own home on the coastline, with a countryside feel, and yet still be so accessible to every amenity we could possibly need. Our favourite room would probably be the master bedroom, a fabulous place to sit and enjoy the stunning sea views with a cup of tea in the morning, and what a wonderful sight to wake up to! Similarly, we enjoy spending time in the kitchen, which also has great sea views. We love the fact that there is something different to see, it s a constantly changing vista, beautiful whatever the weather. The location is brilliant; situated on a safe and private road but close to all the amenities you could need. We are spoilt for choice with shopping, and also for sandy beaches Broadstairs has seven! The North Foreland Estate residents have access to a private beach that we share, but in truth we haven t used it much in the 40 years we ve lived here and have frequented Joss Bay with our family. We have had over four very happy decades in this wonderful house, and we will be sad to leave, but sadly circumstances dictate that now is the time to move closer to our daughter in Shropshire.
