The main reason we moved to Broadstairs was for our younger son's school. We wanted to be as close to him as possible, so when he started school we rented some property for a while at the same time looking for a house to buy. When I saw this particular house, I immediately felt that that was exactly what we had been looking for.The house is full of light with spacious, airy rooms due to its design. It has an unusual for British houses, featuring big windows from floor to ceiling in the lounge, master bedroom and kitchen. We therefore enjoy plenty of sunlight from morning till afternoon or early evening depending on the season. Another thing that was very attractive and very important to us was the fact that it is very quiet here. The house is distanced from the main road, and you can't hear any traffic. The people living here are very friendly. We have absolutely wonderful neighbours, who have helped us a lot. They are the best neighbours we have ever had, and we have moved a lot during our lives! The house is situated very conveniently in many respects: it is only 5 minute walk to the sea, 10 minute drive to Westwood Cross with many shops. Broadstairs itself has a lot of restaurants and cafes; for example, our favourite, The Posilippo, is a very good Italian restaurant. Moreover, Broadstairs has a very good connection to London due to the high-speed train (it takes only an hour and 20 minutes to get to St.Pancras), and I find it very convenient. As for schools, our son attended Wellesley House, which he enjoyed immensely. We will miss everything about this house, especially walks along the seaside and the very easy access to London.
