We bought the property about five years ago because we loved the quiet and peaceful location. As it is a cul de sac it is also very safe and secure for our children. At the same time we are not far from excellent local schools, the town centre and the sandy beaches and we can walk through the adjacent alleyway to the main road for the bus or to the local convenience store and Dumpton Park station as well as the Brown Jug – an archetypal English pub. We originally decided to extend the property but ultimately replaced the existing bungalow to our own high spec design and build as we thought it was going to be our 'forever' home. However our plans have changed so we hope that another family will be able to enjoy everything we have put into creating this lovely contemporary house. Journey times to London from Dumpton Park station are a little longer than if you go from Ramsgate but it is only about eight minutes drive to Ramsgate station where you can get the high speed train to London. Broadstairs is a delightful town with annual events such as Folk Week, the Dickens Festival and the Food Fair.
