Greenwood is situated in a sought after private road in close proximity to all the amenities in Deal. We were first attracted to the greenery and privacy of the location. The house has a very pleasant look, being double fronted with great kerbside appeal. We also liked the private road which, being the old Manor House estate, has a variety of very attractive properties. We loved the fact that there is an open fireplace in the living room, which is unusual feature for year that this property was built. We also liked the fact that there are very large, spacious public areas and flow across the downstairs. The solid oak wood block flooring throughout living/dining area is certainly one of our favourite features. There are two garden areas, one is structured with a pond. Deal is a great location in South-East Kent and on-par with places like Whitstable and Hythe. We enjoy the cafe culture of the town and there are lots of nice places to eat out along with lovely quaint shops (especially at the North end of Deal). Everyone here is very friendly and there is a great community atmosphere. The house provides easy access to the seafront, promenade and pier, as well as the surrounding rural countryside. There are a variety of schools for children of different ages in the area, and the minor injuries hospital is within a 5 minute walk. There are plenty of things that we will miss about the property; the space and integral garage along with parking for up to five cars, as well as the ease of access and the fact that the road is not a thoroughfare. Most of all, we are going to miss our friendly neighbours and the annual street parties held by MARA (Manor Avenue Road Association). We ve had many happy years here and will move with fond memories.
