The Vendor's View

We purchased the property fourteen years ago because of its fantastic location in Sandgate, just 80 metres from the seafront and walking distance from cafes, bars and shops. We spent nearly a year restoring the exterior and modernising the spacious interior. During that time, we completely redesigned the layout and even moved staircases in order to create the house that is here today. It s the kind of house that needs to be viewed and experienced in order to appreciate its radical re-styling.The interior of the property is unique and a real surprise when you come in through the door; not at all what you d expect from the exterior of this three-storey Victorian townhouse. The views are wonderful and need to be seen to be appreciated fully. The house benefits from having a two-storey double garage, unusual in this area, which provides both parking and additional storage. There is also a low maintenance courtyard, ideal for anyone who is short on time or wants a seaside retreat that they are able to lock and leave. There is a strong sense of community here and we get on really well with our neighbours. Sandgate has changed a lot over the past fourteen years. New businesses such as, cafes and boutique shops reflect Sandgate s popularity as a place to live and to visit. It is an easily accessible seaside village and it s clear to see why it has become such a desirable location. Folkestone West Railway Station is less than 2 miles from the property, which offers the high speed link to St. Pancras, along with services to Charing Cross and also Dover for access to Europe. We re now moving out of the area, but there is absolutely nothing that we dislike about this property. If we could take the house, its location, the views and the neighbours with us, we would do so without a doubt. We ve loved everything about living here.
